Brooks Trashes James After Game 2 Loss
"He Can't Take Me 1-on-1"
Memphis Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks had no problem expressing his thoughts on LeBron James after Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals. Brooks, who finished with 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting, claimed that James "can't take me 1-on-1" and that "he's old." The comments came after an exchange of words between the two players in the second half.
Despite Brooks' trash talk, James had a solid performance for the Lakers, scoring 28 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. However, it was not enough to prevent the Lakers from losing the game and falling to a 0-2 deficit in the series.
Brooks' comments are sure to add fuel to the rivalry between the Lakers and Grizzlies. The two teams will meet again in Game 3 on May 9.
